Distribution area: The species was first identified in Israel in 1996 and so far has only been found between Makhtesh Ramon and Sede Boqer and on the Sartaba in Samaria (Ivanitskaya et al. 1996); it has a steppe distribution pattern. The entire known global population lives in Israel (endemic species).

Historic distribution: Unknown.

Typical Habitat: Steppe wadis with abundant vegetation: desert broom, tamarisk and saltbush.
Threat and Disturbance Factors: Unknown.

Population Size: Unknown. The species’ distribution area extends over circa 4500 km2.
